Tzannes Architects use an integrated approach to environmentally responsible architecture, looking at the holistic performance of the full life cycle of the project.
We have worked with Tzannes to provide a way to measure this performance.
Dangrove Art Storage Facility
The Dangrove Art Facility was planned to house a number of notable art collections and required precise temperature/humidity control, high fire ratings and a sleek aesthetic. Additionally the client required 100 years building life and low environmental footprint.
- We used our Multi-Use Calculator to identify key areas of the design which could be optimised and the benefit of specifying a 100 year life of materials.
- The initiatives identified reduced the capital carbon footprint by ~ 2,200 TCO2 and reduced operating carbon emissions by ~ 900 TCO2 each year.
The project would lead Tzannes to further consider the environmental effects of their designs.
Mystery House…
We’re working on a surprise project that we can’t announce yet. This one is a little different for us.Â
- We’ve used the Precinct Calculator to do a preliminary assessment on the existing asset and what is proposed and have suggested pathways to reduce the footprint.
